The man who made international headlines for allegedly injecting women’s backsides with foreign substances including fix-a-flat, cement and superglue has been hit with a new, more serious charge.
Oneal Ron Morris was arrested at his mother’s Coconut Creek home and charged with manslaughter. He was booked into the Broward County Jail Thursday afternoon. Morris, also known as “Duchess”, is being held with no bond.

Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Dani Moschella said the deceased is a former patient of Morris, Shatarka Nuby. Nuby, 31, died in March while serving time in a Tallahassee prison. Nuby and another woman were convicted of using a stolen identity to pay for bigger breast implants and liposuction.
After her death, the assistant medical examiner determined Nuby died of “massive systemic silicone migration” as a consequence of cosmetic silicone injections. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office Morris told the victim’s aunt that she was injecting silicone from Home Depot into her patient.
The victim’s family said Thursday they were waiting for the day when Morris would be charged with their loved one’s death…
Shira Thompson said her family considered Duchess — Morris’ nickname as part of the family.
“Duchess was like a family friend,” Thompson said. “She came to the house all the time.”
Nuby was especially close to Duchess, even allowing Duchess — who the family thought was a trained medical professional — to do injections into her rear end.
“We were under the impression that it was mineral oil and healthy stuff that she was doing,” Thompson said.
Instead, investigators say Duchess was using dangerous products like household silicone, fix-a-flat and cement.
Nuby’s family says Nuby often complained of the injection sites feeling hard and hot and she developed breathing problems and lung disease along with other issues.
“She said she was turning dark all the way down to her knees,” Luvenia Thompson, Nuby’s grandmother, said.
Morris, who was born a man and lives as a woman, was first arrested last year for performing medicine without a license.
“I was really devastated to find out she would do that to anyone,” Luvenia Thompson said.
Nuby’s family feels betrayed by Morris and angry that this loving mother will never see her kids again.
“She love her kids,” Shira Thompson said. “There’s nothing in this world she wouldn’t do for her kids.”
Nuby’s family believes Duchess is where she belongs — in jail.
“He deserves it,” said Phillip Seymour, Nuby’s cousin. “I hope he feels as much pain as my cousin did.”
Many of Morris’ alleged victims claim they heard of his services through word of mouth in the transgender community. Morris was born a man but chooses to live as a woman. They say Morris charged then thousands of dollars for the injections and often wore surgical scrubs and a stethoscope to give the appearance of a legit business.
Morris was arrested in November 2011 and again in March 2012 when more alleged victims came forward.
“My client is maintaining her innocence and she did nothing wrong,” said Morris’ attorney Michael Mirer said after his March arrest.
