Police have arrested a self-described doctor at a Fullerton acupuncture clinic after a client flagged down an officer and said she had been sexually assaulted.
Chan Joon Park, 68, was booked into jail Friday on suspicion of sexual battery, sexual penetration and oral copulation, police said. Court records show that he has not been formally charged, and police said he was released on $100,000 bond.
According to police, a distraught woman flagged down an officer and said she had been sexually assaulted during a treatment at the New Life Acupuncture and Natural Healing Clinic, 905 S. Euclid. Officers and detectives responded and arrested Park, of La Habra.
He listed his occupation on jail records as “doctor,” but neither the state medical board nor the state osteopathic medical board lists anyone by that name.
